Jesus Deck training, Rayleigh

On the 19th January Howard, Colin and Clare held a Jesus Deck training event at Rayleigh Baptist Church in preparation for the Mind Body Soul show to be held on the 5th February. We had 6 new recruits, mostly from churches local to the area. Howard presented a brief overview of the history leading up to our present cultural setting, and people’s current expectation of spirituality. Clare then told us about the upcoming event where we have booked a stall. We then invited those present to work in pairs practising the Jesus Deck, one as reader, one as visitor, before finishing off with a question and answer session and prayers.
